    The Role

    This role has responsibility for managing key retail accounts for NOW TV, helping us exceed our sales targets through building strong relationships, having a tenacity to succeed, delivering best in class execution in store and online.

    The role requires the willingness to be involved at all levels of the business, from negotiating with senior retail executives to helping the team with basic administration processes and procedures. It will require an ability to collaborate across different touch points within NOW TV and occasionally the wider Sky business, including NOW TV UK teams, NOW TV Agency partners, Brand Marketing, Analytics, Operations, Finance and Legal.


    To be successful in this role you must have previous experience of working within the retail sector in an account management / business development capacity. You will have the ability to build effective customer relationships to achieve the best results for NOW TV. You will have strong analytical skills to enable you to build strong business cases, and your communication and influencing skills will enable to you to get your ideas across to people in a thoughtful manner to achieve the desired outcome. A focus on being organised and structured, whilst delivering key tasks and plans will be critical. You will consistently following through on actions ensuring deadlines are met. Previous experience in consumer electronics and/or home entertainment is preferred but not essential.


    Key Responsibilities

    -Exceed targets, individually and within the team

    -Be on the numbers, set stretch goals with retailers to reward all when we exceed the numbers

    -Be in the detail, know your numbers, review and flex on a regular basis

    -Be positive, solution focused, and innovative in your plans to hit the numbers

    -Win hearts and minds within your retail accounts.

    -Manage retailers for NOW TV, be the main point of contact, own the account.

    -Exact retailers could vary, so it is important that you have the flexibility to work across the different retail channels; high street, grocers, specialists, online and catalogue.

    -Understand their business, their USP, and how we get the best out of each retailer.

    -Build a strong mutually beneficial joint business plan for the 12 month period. Agree joint goals, strategies and tactics, and review regularly. Ensure buy in from all levels within the customer.

    -Develop an effective marketing plan with each retail partner. Ensure the plan utilises the retailer strengths, and fits within our Brand marketing guidelines. Measure ROI to ensure future activities take into account historical learnings.

    -Get into the detail, ensure plans are executed well, monitor compliance, discuss results, capture learnings and improve always

    -As we have been trading with most retail partners for less than 7 months, a key part of the role will be to grow your retail accounts during this exciting expansion phase.

    -If you identify new potential channel partners you will be encouraged and supported to validate and develop the opportunity.

    -Support the Team by managing pre-agreed team processes

    -Oversee the invoicing process between supply chain and finance, ensure the invoicing process runs effectively.

    -Capture sales data from retailers, analysing for growth and learning opportunites, share that data with the broader team.

    -Project manage the creation, production and delivery of POS and digital assets for your retail accounts.


    Your Skills

    -Be a good sales person. Be accountable for your numbers, always have plans to achieve the numbers, and be innovative always.

    -Willingness to have an appreciation of the bigger picture, a good commercial understanding. The individual targets are important, the team target is more important. Self-motivated, a great team player but also happy to own and deliver against your own plans

    -Confident and solution focused. A willingness to have confidence in your goals and your plans to achieve those goals in a small, agile team. A personality which wants to find solutions to problems proactively.

    -Ability to build effective customer relationships, internally and externally

    -Numerate and analytical, to build business cases, understand retail margins and ROI.

    -A good understanding of the retail market, and non-food / consumer electronics.

    -Good time management skills, an ability to juggle many different tasks at the same time and make decisions on priorities
